Crews rescue 3 people from fast-moving Baldwin house fire
Firefighters and police officers saved three individuals from a fast-moving house fire early Saturday morning in Baldwin.
Crews rushed to the two-story home on McKinley Street around 1:45 a.m. after receiving a call reporting the blaze.
Nearly 120 firefighters from multiple departments arrived to assist police at the scene.
They removed the occupants and the flames were controlled within around 50 minutes.
Smoke detectors were present and alerted the residents to the fire, according to officials.
A 16-year-old was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.
The Red Cross also responded to the scene to help the displaced family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
