The Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department responded to an electrical fire on Park Avenue last week.
It happened around 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
Crews arriving on scene were told a child in the home noticed a burning smell before the mother found a melted electrical outlet in the kitchen.
Crews were able to secure a water source and then opened the wall to check for fire extension. They found smoke but no flames and were able to soak it down.
No injuries were reported.
