A large pod of dolphins was spotted leaping in and out of the Smithtown Bay waters by a News 12 viewer.

The viewer said she saw an estimated 150 to 200 dolphins on Saturday and again on Monday while out on a boat with her father near Nissequogue Point Beach.

She said the experience became a special family memory as they watched the dolphins swim together in the bay.
