A Georgia man was arrested Thursday evening after police found a loaded firearm in his vehicle during a traffic investigation in Garden City.

According to Nassau County police, officers were conducting a traffic stop around 5:39 p.m. near Zeckendorf Boulevard and East Gate Boulevard when they recovered a loaded handgun with a high-capacity magazine inside a 2026 Mercedes.

The driver, Sarabjeet Singh, 47, of Georgia, was taken into custody without incident.

Singh is charged with criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, and multiple traffic violations.
