A woman has been accused of assaulting a police officer during an incident in Jericho.
Police say Madeleine Fisette, a 21-year-old Georgia resident, got out of her car on the shoulder of Jericho Turnpike Thursday at 7 p.m.
That’s when police say she began yelling at officers who were investigating a crash.
News 12 is told Fisette refused to move from the road and “became violent“ with officers.
An officer was taken to a hospital and is expected to be OK.
