Future guide dogs took off on their journey to help the blind.
The pups with the nonprofit Guiding Eyes for the Blind boarded a plane at MacArthur Airport to help expose them to a new environment.
"We usually simulate it ourselves with setting up seats, but nothing is going to take the place of actually getting on the plane,” said Stephanie Koret, a manager with the nonprofit. "One of the first big things they're going to do on the journey with their guide dog is to fly home with them."
Guiding Eyes for the Blind provides guide dogs to people with vision loss at no cost.
