A memorial honoring teen volunteer firefighter Lindsey Parke was unveiled Sunday in Levittown.
As News 12 reported, Parke and Alexa Duryea, both 19, were killed in a January crash on Old Country Road in Hicksville. The driver, Frank Labidi, is charged with two counts of manslaughter.
Parke's family created a foundation in her memory to raise awareness about the importance of safe driving.
The foundation is hosting a comedy night at Governor's Comedy Club in Levittown on Oct. 28. Proceeds from ticket sales will go toward scholarships for local students in Lindsey's honor.
