A Lindenhurst man was arrested on Thursday for having more than 1,000 child sex abuse images, according to Suffolk County police.

Richard Enstad, 68, was taken into custody following a tip placed with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and investigation done by Digital Forensic Unit detectives.

Detectives executed a search warrant at his home where multiple devices were seized and over 1,000 images of child porn were allegedly found.

He is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.
