A man was arrested with a firearm after acting irrationally in Nassau County Monday morning.
Nassau police responded to a report of a person impeding the flow of traffic around 9:30 a.m. on Elsie Ave. near Meadowbrook Rd. in North Merrick.
Naggie Ford, 21, of Roosevelt, was found being erratic and removed from the roadway.
Detectives tell News 12 Ford was found to be in possession of a loaded silver firearm and was placed under arrest.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
He will face charges of criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon when he is arraigned on Tuesday.
