More people are now moving out of New York than most other states and taking their tax dollars with them.
According to the U.S Census Bureau, more people moved away from New York and California than all other states. Nearly 138,000 people moved out of New York from July of 2024 to July of 2025.
Housing, taxes, family and jobs have been top concerns.
