A two-story Westbury home erupted in flames and left six residents displaced on Wednesday morning.

Crews from Westbury, Carle Place and Mineola fire departments responded to the scene on Franklin Street.

Officials say the occupants safely evacuated when they smelled smoke and called 911.

The flames were controlled within 30 minutes. The cause remains under investigation.
