Stop & Shop's website and app outage reached its fourth day on Friday, and the company is offering customers a discount for the inconvenience. The chain announced that it is offering 10% off in-store purchases starting Friday through Oct. 22 due to an outage that was caused by a security issue. In a statement to customers Friday morning, Stop & Shop President Roger Wheeler said the company is "truly sorry" for the inconvenience caused by the outage and the chain was working "around the clock" to fix the issue. "To help express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their patience, we are offering all shoppers 10% off their next in-store purchase starting today through Thursday, October 22nd, up to $10 off," Wheeler said." Just check in at the Savings Station at your local store, and the discount will be applied. Again, we are grateful for the understanding and support."  The chain has been offline for four days because of the security issue, but Wheeler said there was no evidence of customers' personal information being compromised. Stop & Shop is also offering $15 off all orders of $75 or more with delivery companies such as Instacart DoorDash and Uber Eats for home delivery.
