A teen is recovering after being slashed by another teen in Lindenhurst.

According to police, the incident occurred Thursday around 7 p.m. outside of a residential home on West Gates Avenue.

Police say the two teens, who knew each other, got into an argument before one of them attacked the other with a small knife.

The injured teen suffered a laceration and was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel.

No charges were filed.
