The PawDorf, a pet boarding facility in Wantagh, is under investigation by the Nassau County District Attorney following the death of a dog in its care.

A nearly 4-year-old German shepherd named Jet mysteriously died at the facility last month. According to the dog’s owners, its harness was tattered when it was returned to them.

The investigation comes after a News 12 story about the facility.

The PawDorf was also issued a violation by the Town of Hempstead.

News 12 reached out to the PawDorf for a comment. The facility has not responded.
