Police departments across New York are participating in the state's Buckle Up New York seat belt safety campaign.
It begins today and runs through June 1. Police will be ramping up their patrols to make sure you're all buckled up.
State statistics show those who use seat belts are 20% more likely to not be injured when involved in a crash.
Over the past five years, an average of 200 people were killed each year because they weren't wearing a seat belt.
